Julie will be joined by panelists: Sekou Lewis, vice chair of Schnader’s Sports Law Team, and Lee Schmeer, who focuses practice on aviation and product liability litigation.

In this session, legal marketing and business development professionals will gain or deepen their understanding of the fundamentals of niche practices, the benefits of creating them, how to choose a niche practice and how to ensure they are successful. You will learn about specific niche practices and how they have succeeded.

Our Moderator:

Julie Meyers, Esquire, is the Chief Marketing Officer of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP. In her various roles as practicing attorney, as well as her in marketing and business development roles, Julie has had significant experience working with attorneys to create and build upon many niche practices. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experiences with us.

Our panelists:

Sekou Lewis, vice chair of Schnader’s Sports Law Team, represents private and public companies, nonprofit organizations and municipalities in real estate and corporate matters including formation, corporate governance and business counseling. He advises clients on sports-related issues ranging from sponsorship and naming rights, and broadcasting agreements, to general matters in connection with a large sporting events, including drafting hosting sites, vendor, and waiver agreements. Sekou played Division I Varsity Basketball at American University, and then professionally in Mexico.

Lee Schmeer focuses his legal practice on aviation and product liability litigation. He represents clients that include aircraft and engine manufacturers, airlines, and energy companies in suits arising from aircraft accidents and other aviation incidents. He is a pilot with extensive worldwide flight experience, having flown 90 combat missions in the United States Air Force. Lee also serves as an Air Force Reserve Instructor Pilot on the C-17 Globemaster III.
