Law Firm Marketing Specialist

Company: Griesing Law, LLC
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Option for Remote Position)
Reports to: Marketing Manager and/or COO

Responsibilities:

Griesing Law, LLC is looking to grow its diverse team with a Law Firm Marketing Specialist. As the Firm’s Law Firm Marketing Specialist, and together with the Firm’s Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for all of the Firm’s marketing and business development activities including but not limited to RFP/RFI responses, award submissions, website management, pitch development, digital marketing, social media management and other such similar areas.

We are a full-service, women-owned and operated law firm based in Philadelphia, PA, with satellite offices in Arizona, New York & Ohio. We are proudly certified as a woman-owned business by WBENC, enabling us to tackle opportunities specifically intended to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement programs that reinforce the marketing priorities for the Firm
  • Lead the coordination of the creation and production of pitch materials, proposals, and oversees and controls the Firm’s responses to various corporate and governmental RFIs/RFPs
  • Ensures marketing communications are coordinated and organized, including the development and distribution of all Firm marketing materials
  • Creates, manages and otherwise oversees the Firm’s digital marketing and Social Media & Content Marketing
  • Creates content through Adobe Photoshop or other similar programs for purpose of generating content for use across all marketing platforms, both in print and digital
  • Supports the coordination of the Firm’s digital marketing activities, with an emphasis on content maintenance, content creation and analytics
  • Collaborate to successfully translate marketing strategies into effective marketing tactics across all marketing channels
  • Works with each practice area to coordinate and develop assessments of emerging industry trends and issues to provide insight on service offerings
  • Works with each individual attorney on formulating an individual business development plan
  • Maintains and updates Firm promotional materials and website content
  • Responsible for the Firm’s online reputation through reporting, strategic planning and monitoring
  • Update Firm blogs and publish content written by lawyer-bloggers. Responsibilities include proofreading, scheduling, distributing to subscribers and cross-posting across other firm sites
  • Support the Firm’s SEO activities, researching keywords, keyword trends, and monitoring reporting dashboards
  • Execute digital marketing campaigns, including all traffic, conversion and optimization efforts while keeping an eye on KPI goals and maximizing ROI
  • Implement digital marketing tactics, including search engine/social marketing (SEM), pay-per-click marketing (PPC), display and retargeting
  • Identify and drive action plans to improve conversion rates and inbound lead development and demand generation
  • Optimize Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Microsoft advertising, organic content and all other online ad/content efforts
  • Responsible for the production, editing and distribution of external Firm newsletters through Constant Contact
  • Responsible for video marketing, video production and editing, where appropriate
  • Assist in the identification of marketing trends and key opportunities for efficiencies and optimizations to drive market demand, generate repeat customers, and deliver profitable growth
  • Assist with the production of marketing plans, materials, collateral, and campaign calendars and updating websites, templates and assets
  • Proofreading and writing copy all Firm promotional materials, website and social media content
  • Performs market research and planning, strategic direction for promotion and advertising; assists as needed with the annual marketing plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives and helps develop long-range service plans for the Firm
  • Schedules various meetings, conference calls and external event reservations
  • Maintains an orderly work flow and necessary marketing files for attorneys and events
  • Leads and helps coordinate PR efforts (press releases, service announcements, etc.)
  • Contributing to the generation of creative ideas based on strategic directions to drive results
  • Follows market trends and new service information relevant to the Firm; relays outside vendor and customer services requests to Marketing Manager and/or COO
  • Expands job knowledge by participating in professional development opportunities including attending seminars, conferences and reading trade publications
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Firm’s Marketing Manager and/or COO.


 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior law firm marketing experience is required
  • A valid Driver’s License is required
  • Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs is required
  • Experience in digital marketing is required
  • Experience with Social Media & Content Marketing is required
  • Experience in website platform Sitefinity is strongly preferred
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop and other similar content generating platforms
  • Google Analytics/metrics tracking experience; ability to measure content performance and report on traffic, click-throughs, SEO, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with digital and traditional marketing methods and channels in the B2B sector
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with an eye for details
  • Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
  • Display the technical skills necessary to prepare, transfer and interchange documents using most effective Firm procedures and systems, require minimum review by management to assure quality
  • Project a positive, professional image toward clients, attorneys, vendors and staff in all interactions and situations
  • Follow all Firm rules, policies and practices as contained in the Firm’s Employee Handbook or as outlined by the Firm’s leadership
  • Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising
  • Must also be able to work independently as within a team and possess a positive, "can-do" attitude
  • Must be able to work with all levels of personnel as well as Firm leadership
  • Must have a strong interpersonal skills and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
  • Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
  • Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers) and demonstrated professional demeanor
  • Maintain all client, Firm and employee information as confidential and share only on a need to know basis.

On occasion, the Marketing Specialist may travel to another Firm location or a Firm sponsored event. The Marketing Specialist must have the ability to travel to the Philadelphia office three times a year.
